The school was issued a charter this year for the first National Elementary Honor Society, an organization that recognizes outstanding students in fourth through sixth grade. This chapter is one of the first to be granted here in Southwest Florida. Our first group of NEHS inductees are: 4th graders: Kelsi Bevington, Brennen Cole, Blair Colbert, Olivia Cook, Tyler Goguen, Jenna Iten, Jennifer Lavorgna, Austin O'Grosky, Sarah Swiersz, Michael Walch, Androse Watson, Parker Wunderlich; 5th graders: Elijah Benzon, Caroline Chester, Joshua Harriott, Joshua Harvey, Victoria Weller, Tyler Williams; 6th graders: Mallory Dillon, Celine Gulbronson, Zachary Liebetreu, Taylor Lowry, Robin Mitchell, Haley Morig and Amy Romstadt. The chapter sponsor is fifth grade teacher, Mrs. Robin Couch.
