Each student dressed up like a person from a country, as well as providing a model of something from the country, an information board with facts and a food item from each country! Special Gift For 7th Graders

Last semester, my 7th grade bible class watched a video clip produced by the Dare To Be A Daniel bible curriculum - an interview with former Seattle Seahawk running back, Shaun Alexander. He gave his testimony and talked about the importance of accountability as Christians. On Wednesdays in our 7th grade class as our Barnabas ministry, we watch the clip, pray for that person and write a letter to encourage them in their faith.

Today we received a special box containing a message from Mr. Alexander to the class and a personally autographed copy of his book to each of the students who wrote the letter!

Psalm 37:4 (New International Version) - "Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart."

Alumni Praise

From the website: SWFL Hoops.com

Congratulations, Jacgaurd Hagan (FMCS class of 2006)

The Player of the Year for 3A is Bishop Verot senior guard Jacquard Hagan. Verot has had its share of ups and downs this year, more so than in recent years, but Hagan has been one of the pieces that has remained consistent. The 6'1 guard leads his team in 3 of the 4 main categories, averaging 5.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 3.4 steals per game, while he is third on the team in scoring averaging 10.7 points per contest. His roll as the team's best marksman has decreased, but this is most likely due to the fact that he has taken on the task of running the team full-time now with the loss of last year's point guard Brennen Melvin, who is now playing at Fordham University.
