History Creativity

Mrs. Mitchell's American History classes had a different kind of approach to the chapter "Growth of a Nation." Students created their own board games - it is a creative way to help students understand events in a fun and interesting way!

Excel-lent Technology Integration

Today, Mrs. Tuma's third grade class learned how to create a pie chart using Excel.  Students were each given a bag of M&M’s - great start!  They had to separate the colors into groups.  Next. they tallied up the amount for each color.  From this, they are creating their graph.  Great math and technology integration!

The Videoconferencing Era

For our in-service today after school, we were talking with a representative from the Discovery Science Center in Springfield, Mo. We are learning more and more in how this technology works and how we can incorporate this in our classrooms.

ABC: Anti-Bully Campaign

Our 6th-8th grade classes, through the bible teachers, are working on a month long anti-bully unit. Today, students broke into small groups and are working on creating an "anti-bully campaign presentation." We are praying for great results for our students to understand bullying and how to stand up for others.
