Cards For Soldiers

"Thank you, thank you, thank you. My heart melted as I put each card the class (K and PK4C) prepared into its respective envelope. Please thank the children for all their hard work. They will truly be appreciated by each soldier that receives this special gift. Included with each card is a Bible tract with a Bible verse for each letter of the alphabet, and another Bible tract on the ARMOR OF GOD... Also included is a little plastic handmade "CROSS IN MY POCKET" with stitching made by my neighbor ladies...I believe I received 50+ cards between the two classes. The total number of cards being sent as of close Oct 31, is estimated at 450!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you. God Bless you and God Bless America!"

Lee County Recognition

Out of almost 200 entries received at he downtown branch of the library, three students from Fort Myers Christian School received an honorable mention in the recent Lee County Library bookmark coloring contest that was themed “Come Alive with Books!” Special congratulations to 5th place Laura Gequelin, 8th place Paige Arey, and 10th place Hannah Upton, all of whom are in Mrs. Robin Couch’s fifth grade class. Mrs. Sherry Hill from the Lee County Library System presented the students with a ribbon and a certificate at a small ceremony in the elementary building this morning. All of the bookmarks that were entered by our third, fourth and fifth grade students will be on display at the downtown library, 2050 Central Avenue, Fort Myers, FL 33901, in the children’s department area from now until the end of November. The annual contest is open to all third, fourth and fifth grade students in Lee County. All of our qualifying students worked on their bookmarks during library class with Miss Jay J. Shrader.

Ident-A-Kid Day

A great way to keep our kids safe has been through the Ident-A-Kid ID program. We have an ID card on file for every student in case of emergency during the year. We also had a drawing for a new bike, and Travis Shaw was the winner! (he'll get a boys bike)

Eagles Sports

In watching the boys soccer team this year, I have been proud of our two fourth graders: Josiah Richards and Ethan Leatherman. It is tough out there with the big boys, but they are right out there with them. Go Eagles!
