ALUMNI CONGRATULATIONS TO CHASE MARINELL, THE NEWPRESS HIGH SCHOOL GOLFER OF THE YEAR! "Strong play and consistent scoring were primary factors that led to the selection of Bishop Verot’s Chase Marinell as 2008 Player of the Year. The junior shot a 76-73—149 to tie for third in the Class A state meet, a score that helped the Vikings to an eighth-place team finish. He averaged 73.0 for four 18-hole rounds, including a 70 in the Region A-6 meet at Greenfield Plantation. He averaged 37.1 for eight nine-hole matches."
