“Girls Going Places”, an Entrepreneurship Conference for girls age 12-18, was held today at Florida Gulf Coast University. The pictured Leadership Academy students, along with NJHS sponsor Mrs. Jennifer Crouch, participated in several enterprising and community-minded activities such as the “Hot Company board game”, interviews with area business women, and “Product in a Box” to encourage creativity and cooperation. NJHS president, Carlye Fulton said, “I learned that we can be open to anything that comes to us and have an open mind. We can do anything if we try.” Also in attendance at today’s conference , Mrs. Barbara Dukes, parent of 7th grade student, Haley Morig; and Mrs. Karen Zeigler, parent to FMCS alumna, Haley Zeigler. Both women served as mentors to girls interested in starting their own future businesses.
