"Mastering" Fourth Grade!

Great job 4th graders! Mrs. Couch and Mrs. Sanders have started an interesting club in 4th grade that has really taken off - "The Mastery Club Challenge"! The concept comes from Mrs. Renz, a fourth grade teacher at Tom McCall Elementary School in Redmond Oregon. The kids love working on questions in Bible, Social Studies, Science, Language Arts, Math and other miscellaneous information. This is all an EXTRA program on top of their regular studies and the kids are having a great time learning!

Witnessed a great lesson today!

Our Physical Education teacher, Miss Julie Issenmann, put together a great lesson for our students today! The 4th grade had a game/obstacle course involving: the human heart, how and where does the blood flow, the parts of the heart, how our body needs oxygen, etc. The obstacle course was very creative and it was an excellent way for our kids to learn about how the body works while the body was getting a workout!

March - Prayer and Fasting

In my prayer time this last week, I felt very strongly to call a month of prayer and fasting and invite all of our families to join us. I believe in the power of prayer and I know that fasting can “turn up the power” even more! Instead of worry about issues, let’s pray in March:
- Pray for our parents to find jobs
- Pray for financial breakthroughs
- Pray for physical healing
- Pray for increased enrollment
- Pray for families to pull together and not apart
- Pray for our Presidential election

The Kingdom Assignment

For the past three years, we have given every student in the school $5 and one month to multiply that money for the financial aide fund for our school. A "seed" of $6000 has multiplied into $32,000! It is GREAT to hear about and get pictures of the students and families of our school working to help other students get the opportunity for a Christian education!
